London Women's Cycle Race League 2013

The whole idea of the League is to bring women riders together on the same day and offer bigger fields with greater competition held in a friendly atmosphere.

The League will be launched on Friday 15th March at the Look Mum No Hands cafe from 6pm, with racing the next day at the Eagle Circuits. The evening will also see the launch of the Bonito Race Team and Matrix Fitness Racing Academy race teams.

Points will be rewarded to race finishers under the same ranking system as last year but it is your best results from 7 races that will count (out of a total of 12). End of season prizes for the top 20 riders will be awarded to riders that have competed in 7 races only. Other prizes such as most improved, most combative, etc. will not be dependent on the number of races ridden. As last year, the points awarded to a club will be the sum of the points scored by its top three riders in the race plus one point for every other rider in the club who completes the race.

The League is also running Meet and Greet rides and thanks in advance to those that are still to run them and details can be found on the Facebook page.

Dates
There are currently 11 races in total, from March to July 2013. It is hoped to get one more race in in September 2013 to make a total of 12. Each rider's top 7 results will count towards the league rankings (assuming 12 races are confirmed).

- Wed 17 April - Twickenham CC/West Thames Promotions Ladies Crit- Hillingdon Cycle Circuit
- Sat 11 May - Lotus Cars Cycle Racing League - Elveden Estate, Suffolk (A new race 3 mile circuit)
- Sat 18 May - Women’s RR incorporating SE Regional Champs - Kirdford, near Horsham
- Sun 26 May - East London Velo Road Race - Hatfield Heath, Essex
- Tues 25 June - Crystal Palace Crits 8- Crystal Palace Park
- Sun 30 July - London Dynamo TT (road bikes) - Richmond Park, SW London
- Wed 10 July - Guildford Town Centre Races - Central Guildford
- Sun 21 July - Surrey League open road race (Wyndymilla Cycle Centre) - Seale - TBC
